Please read the explanations below regarding the different functions of Dexter knobs that are available.

Dexter by Schlage Keyed Entry Knobs:
A Dexter door knob set that locks with a key on the exterior and with a push button or turn piece on the interior. Keyed entry functions are commonly used on exterior doors along with a deadbolt for added security.

Dexter by Schlage Passage Knobs (Hall/Closet):
A Dexter door knob set that does not lock. Passage function door knobs are used on closet and hallway doors.

Dexter by Schlage Privacy Knobs (Bed/Bath):
A Dexter door knob set that can lock from the inside with a push button or turn piece to allow privacy.

Dexter by Schlage Single Dummy Knobs:
A Dexter knob that is mounted to the surface of one side of a door and performs no function. Single dummy knobs are commonly used on pantry and hallway doors in association with a ball catch.
