Handle Sets refer to the large handle typically found on the main entry doors of a home. There are a number of different styles of handle sets that can be found and we have organized them above in their most common forms. A handle set where the deadbolt locks by key on the outside and a turn piece on the inside. Latch is operated by a thumb piece on the outside and by a knob or lever on the inside.
Double Cylinder:
A handle set where the deadbolt locks by key on the outside and inside. Latch is operated by a thumb piece on the outside and by a knob or lever on the inside.**Double Cylinder locks on doors used for exiting a building or a home are a life safety hazard in times of emergency and are not recommended**
Dummy Set:
A dummy handle sets are used in double door applications. The Dummy handle set is mounted on the inactive door while the single or double cylinder handle set is mounted to the active door. Dummy sets perform no function. Handle Set that provides extra security through a separate locking handle and deadbolt.
