Question: Does this lock from the inside with just a single function push button, and will it both unlock by turning the lever and then also unlock when the the door is closed with no one on the inside ?

Answer: Randy, This lock doesn't have the feature of closing the door and unlocking. The W571 has all the features including unlocking when the door closes.
