Question: Is there a pin key to unlock this from the outside or it can only be unlocked from the inside? The pic does not show a hole in either handle.

Answer: Chris, This does have an emergency egress hole on the exterior rosette so that the door can be unlocked from the exterior.

Answer: This set can act as either a passage or privacy function. If the privacy pin is used upon installation it will act as a privacy (bed/bathroom). If the pin is not installed it will act as passage (hall/closet).
