Shipping Policy

Shipping within United States

Our goal is to get you your products as quickly and accurately as possible. Most orders placed before 3:00 PM EST are leaving the warehouse on the same business day.
Some of our products are built to order. Please see the item description for details.

Shipping options:

  • FedEx Express Saver: Provides delivery in 3 business days by 7PM
  • FedEx 2 day: Provides delivery in 2 business days by 8PM
  • FedEx Std. Overnight: Provides delivery next business day by 8PM
  • FedEx Priority Overnight: Provides delivery next business day by 12PM

Shipping Rates

FREE SHIPPING ON ALL ORDERS OVER $99
All orders over $99 ship for free FedEx Ground. Orders under $99 shipping costs are determined by product weight. During checkout you will enter your zip code and your cost is calculated. NOTE: Does not include international shipments or Alaska and Hawaii.

Shipment Tracking

Once an order is shipped you will be emailed an invoice along with a tracking number. You can type in that tracking # at UPS.com or FEDEX.com and it will give you an exact delivery date.

Backorders

Backorders are not common, but happen from time to time. If we do not have all items ordered in stock, we will contact you via email or phone to let you know a backorder will be necessary. We will not backorder any items without your OK. You are not charged additional shipping fee's for backordered items.

Puerto Rico, Canada, and International Orders
Shipments made to U.S. territories and international destinations are handled on an individual basis. If this pertains to you please call us at (866) 259-8901 and we will help you out.

Order inspection/damaged shipments

You are responsible for inspecting your order when it arrives to make sure you received all ordered items in good condition. Any order issues must be reported within 7 business days of product delivery. If your order is damaged in transit let us know asap at (866) 259-8901 and we'll make sure you get new product.

Order Confirmations

After you place an order and items have shipped you will receive an email with a invoice and tracking #. Save this for your records.

Shipping to Canada

Our shipping experts can facilitate shipments to Canada via Standard Ground Service. Please factor 7-10 business days to ensure time for customs clearance. We partner with FedEx for all Canada shipments to ensure the highest levels of service, shipment visibility and customer satisfaction.

Returns from Canada

The Returns process for Canada shipments differs slightly than our standard return policy. Due to the addition of Duty and Tax there are different requirements outlined below:

  • Duty and Tax on Canadian shipments are refundable but subject to current exchange rates.
  • Canada requires all the necessary returns documents to prove the original payment of Duty and Taxes. The customer will be responsible for including these documents with each return. If the documents are not included with the return Canada may reissue Duty and Tax charges. These fees will be charged at current exchange rates. Please contact us if you think you have misplaced these documents.
  • Shipping charges are not refundable unless the product being returned is defective or damaged.
  • Please allow for additional processing time due to documentation review and ground transit time.

We understand that there are additional requirements for Canada returns to the US and if you are unfamiliar to the process you may have questions. Additional information on Duty, Taxes, and Fee’s for Canadian purchases

We used a “landed cost” model to ensure charges will include all applicable taxes and duties, at the time of purchase. The calculation will differ depending on the receiving location. Taxes are assessed to our Canadian customers based on the delivery province. Taxes will consist of a 5% charge for GST (Goods and Service Tax) + appropriate PST (Provincial sales taxes) or the combined HST (harmonized sales tax) You are also charged appropriate duties at the time of purchase.

By ordering product from DoorHardwareCenter.com, you hereby authorize our licensed Canadian customs broker (FedEx Trade Networks), to act as your agent, and to transact business with the CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) to clear your merchandise, account for duties and taxes, to return merchandise through DoorHardwarecenter’s Licensed Canadian Customs Broker, and prepare and submit refund claims on your behalf for any merchandise that you return. You understand that the CBSA will send any refund of duties and taxes that were paid on the returned merchandise to the broker, and that you will obtain the refund directly from Doorhardwarecenter.com. In this connection, you also authorize the customs broker to endorse any refund credit issued by the CBSA in your name, so that doorhardwarecenter.com can be reimbursed.
