Baldwin door levers, with the exception of the Prestige line are all constructed of solid forged brass. The Prestige line is brass, but not solid or forged. The interior components are all heavy duty as well. By constructing the latches and other interior components from solid brass and steel, smooth operation for years to come is ensured. Passage (Hall/Closet):
A lever set that does not lock. Passage function lever sets are used on closet and hallway doors.

Privacy (Bed/Bath):
A lever set that can lock from the inside with a push button or turn piece to allow privacy.

Single Dummy:
Single mounted lever that performs no function. Single dummy knobs are commonly used on pantry and hallway doors in association with a ball catch.

Dummy Set:
Two levers, one mounted to each side of a door. Commonly used on pantry and hallway doors where a push/pull could occur from either side. A fully dummy set is often used in association with a ball catch

Keyed Entry:
A lever set that locks with a key on the outside and with a push button or turn piece on the inside. Keyed entry functions are commonly used on exterior doors along with a deadbolt for added security.
