Falcon Commercial Deadbolts

Classroom:

A deadbolt thrown or retracted by key outside. Inside turn unit will retract bolt only. Bolt automatically deadlocks when fully thrown.

Double Cylinder:

A Deadbolt that locks by key on the outside and inside of the door. **Double Cylinder locks on doors used for exiting a building or a home are a life safety hazard in times of emergency and are not recommended**

One Sided:

A one sided deadbolt locks a door from the inside. These are commonly used on patio doors.

Single Cylinder:

A Deadbolt that locks by key on the outside and a turn piece on the inside of the door.

Thumbturn x Thumbturn:

Deadbolt thrown or retracted by turn unit from either side.  Bolt automatically deadlocks when fully thrown.

Grade 1:
Most commercial/business locks should be rated at this level. This is the highest grade that Underwriters Laboratory (UL) gives a lock. This grade means that this model lock has withstood 1,000,000 (one million) uses and is still functioning.

Grade 2:
Commercial/business locks which are used frequently (per day) but are not high use locks should be rated at this level. This is a moderate commercial or high residential use grade by UL. This grade means that this model lock has withstood 500,000 (one half million) uses and is still functioning.
